Requirements for BETA Club membership must be met each quarter or a member will go on probation until the requirements are met.  However, a member will not be inducted in the Spring if on probation at the 3rd quarter  report card.   BETA Club inductions are held in the Spring.

 

FRESHMEN AND SOPHOMORES

  1. 9th – 10th Each quarter bring your report card to Ms. Cameron (Freshman Academy Counselor) to check.

  2. You must have a 3.8 GPA with only one “C” and no N’s or U’s.

**a. Community service hours will be checked the week before exams in December and again two weeks before Spring induction—15 hours/1st semester/10 hours/2nd semester = 25 total.

3.  worthy, moral and ethical character, good mentality, and commendable attitude.

 

JUNIORS AND SENIORS

COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS CRITERIA:

Any hours earned from the summer can be used to help fulfill the fifteen (15) hour requirement for first semester, but CANNOT be used for its entirety.   If you earn more than 15 hours during that period, only five (5) of those hours will rollover towards the second semester requirement.

Membership 

Purpose

The purpose of the National Beta Club is to promote “the ideals of honesty, service, morality, ethical conduct, and leadership among elementary and secondary school students, to reward meritorious achievement, and to encourage and assist students in continuing their education after high school.” (Article II of the Beta Club Constitution)

Fundraisers

We need to raise money for service projects, transportation for service projects, social activities, induction & installation ceremonies, end of the year awards, t-shirts (at least one a year funded by the club), etc.

  • Krispy Kreme Donuts (fundraiser set for August 2017)

Each member is expected to sell at least 10 boxes of donuts
